J. Rinaldi Pipes

Jon Rinaldi is a powerful talent that (thank God!) got mixed up in pipes. If you haven't listened to his podcast yet, go back through my archives on this site and take a listen, then go to www.jrinaldipipes.com and get one of these beauties for yourself. I remember, a few years back now, seeing Jon's work online and being blown away. I did what I usually do, I called the Missus over and said something like, "Look, just look at THAT!"

I love my Jon Rinaldi pipe and wouldn't DREAM of ever parting with it. I feel the same for the amazing pipe stand it sits in made by Jennifer. I'm including Jon and Jennifer Rinaldi in my Baron's Choice because I can personally attest to the work they do. Do yourself a favor and find a spot in your collection for some Rinaldi artistry. I promise you, you will love it from day one! Let them know Olie sent you. The pipe shown is a volcano made by Jon in 2010.

Kesling Custom Briar Pipes

I met Donald Kesling for the first time at the 2009 Chicagoland Pipe Show. Once in a while, you see a piece that you know was yours all along. That is how it was with Elephant Ears, which is now lovingly placed in my regular rotation. Every section of this bizarre beauty morphs into something new making the entire piece a masterfully executed collage. Donald is relatively new to the pipe making scene, and with his use of out of the ordinary color, fantastical shapes and sincere dedication to craftsmanship, I would heartily suggest viewing his work and scooping some wonder for yourself right away. Go to keslingbriarpipes.com and report back.
